Brandner Daycare
Parent Handbook & Policies

Welcome to Daycare!

We are so glad you’re here! Thank you for choosing us to care for your family. We hope this will be your child’s home away from home. Our aim is to provide a safe, home-like atmosphere, while also providing for their physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. Please take a moment and review this handbook to become familiar with our policies and answer any questions you might have.

The following policies help to provide consistency within our program, and to help minimize any misunderstanding between us, as providers, and you, the families we serve. These policies provide a framework for making the best possible decisions to benefit the children and families in our care, while allowing the daycare to operate smoothly. We have done our best to involve parents in the development of these policies so as to provide a sense of ownership and commitment to you, and to the enrollment of your child(ren) within Brandner Daycare.  To maintain a high standard of good practice, these policies are reviewed regularly and changed accordingly to incorporate any new developments within the daycare.

accidents and/or injuries

All accidents are to be reported to Child Protection Services within 24 hours of occurrence by calling the Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Line at 1.833.958.3500.

An accident is defined as any incident that requires professional care beyond basic first aid as provided by Daycare staff. In the event of an accident involving a child in our care, Brandner Daycare will take the following steps to ensure the child(ren) involved are helped quickly and as safely as possible:

  1. Administer CPR/First Aid as needed, and call emergency services when required

  2. Contact the child’s parent/guardian

    1. If the parent/guardian cannot be reached, we will begin calling the emergency contacts on file

  3. Contact local law enforcement

  4. Report the incident to CPS

burns

In the event that a child experiences a minor burn while in our care, immediate first aid will be administered. Staff will expose the affected area to cool water to slow the damage to tissue and apply a topical burn cream to the wound, if warranted. Periodic checks on the child and the affected area will follow. Parents/guardians will be notified immediately.

Should a child experience a more serious burn that warrants advance medical care, staff will follow steps 1-4 as detailed above for Accidents and/or Injuries.

poisoning

In the unlikely event that a child ingests or is exposed to a poison while in our care, staff will call Poison Control (1.800.222.1222) for direction on the appropriate steps to take in administering first aid for the specific situation. If warranted, staff will call emergency services for additional aid. Steps 1-4 as detailed above for Accidents and/or Injuries will be followed.

provider accountability

As mandated reporters, we will report any suspicion of abuse and/or neglect.

   TO REPORT, call the statewide toll-free Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Line 1-833-958-3500, between 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Central Time, Monday-Friday (7 a.m.– 4 p.m. Mountain Time)

  • A dedicated team of specialized child protection intake professionals will answer and gather all needed facts so local CPS workers in the human service zones can act more quickly to protect children.

  • Please know that calls to local human service zone offices to report suspected child abuse and neglect are rerouted to the centralized Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Line.

IMPORTANT: If it's an EMERGENCY and a child is in immediate DANGER, CALL 9-1-1 NOW.

hiring

Brandner Daycare has a group license with a full-time staff of two adults, and one part-time staff under age 18. All staff have been fingerprinted and have passed a comprehensive background check. Prior to hire, all potential staff are interviewed and required to provide a work history and professional and personal references for review. Staff performance evaluations are continuous, where issues needing correction are addressed immediately, and recognition of high performance are acknowledged in kind. Our program will not employ anyone convicted of a direct bearing offense listed in ND Admin. Code 75-03-08-27 (Family Rule) or ND Admin. Code 75-03-09-27 (Group Rule).

grievances

Please discuss any concerns or complaints that you have about this daycare directly with me, and in a timely manner. If you feel that your issue has not been resolved or are concerned that there has been a licensing violation, please contact our Licensor, Christyna Bruce, at 701.230.7678 to file your complaint. Should any correction order be issued, I will notify all parents, guardians, or custodians of each enrolled child within three business days if there has been an action taken. The correction order will be posted within the facility until the correction has been made or for up to five days, whichever is longer.

daily infant reports

An Infant Care Report is completed daily for all children under 18 months. These reports are shared with parents/guardians via your private Group within the Parent Portal on our website, www.mydaycareladies.com. These reports include all naps, diaper changes and bottles given, as well as any other points of note relevant to your child’s day. You are notified by email when a new posting to your Group is made for review.

schedule

There is a daily schedule posted at the front entrance. We do our best to adhere to this schedule. Please do your best to not disrupt during rest time.

parent accountability

When your child does not arrive at the expected time, I will attempt to contact you and/or any of your immediate family members by phone. Please notify me as soon as you know that you will not be attending daycare. I may be able to fill the spot for the day. Your child may walk to and from school with written consent from the parent. If you are not here at the expected arrival time, I will begin contacting parents and emergency phone numbers. If I am unable to reach emergency contacts, I will notify the police.

Child Safety

The safety of your children is our highest priority. The following policies are in place to protect all children within our care, as well as the staff and the Daycare, as a whole.
We will update these policies as need arises, or as we see fit to ensure the continued safe care of all for whom we are responsible.

transportation policy

Brandner Daycare does not offer transportation for children in our care for any reason. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to arrange transportation for their child(ren) as needed.

drop off & pick up

Please alert us when you are dropping off children in the morning. When you leave, please lock the gate and securely shut the front door.  Keep your children with you while preparing them to go home at the end of the day. Children are not allowed to exit the premises unless supervised by a parent/adult. We will make every attempt to prepare children for departure at the end of the day.

Infants brought into the daycare in a carrier seat will need to be removed from their seat by their parent/guardian. Daycare staff will not remove or place a child into a carseat at any time or for any reason. This is for the protection of the child and daycare staff.

early arrival/late pick-up

Our staff's time is valuable, and we expect our business hours to be respected by the families we serve. With this in mind, please understand that we make our staffing schedules based on the contract you have signed and on maintaining mandated ratios. Accepting children before our posted opening hours, and keeping children beyond our posted closing hours, is considered overtime and will be billed as such. All early arrivals and late pick-ups need to be pre-approved, and will carry an additional charge.

Unscheduled early arrivals may result in your child being turned away until their regularly contracted arrival time. In the event we do accept your child ahead of their expected drop-off time, an early arrival fee of $15.00 for every 15 minutes (or any fraction thereof) will be added to your account. If, however, your child is dropped off earlier than our posted opening time (7:00a, Mon-Th & 7:45a, Fri) without a minimum 24 hour prior approval, an additional pre-opening arrival fee of $1 per minute will be added to your account for any time extending before our posted opening hours (example: arrive at 6:54a on a Tuesday without pre-approval, your bill will reflect a $15 early arrival fee + $6.00 pre-opening fee; same scenario on a Friday, your bill will reflect a $60 early arrival fee + $51 pre-opening fee).

All late pick-ups will incur a late pick-up fee of $15.00 for every 15 minutes (or any fraction thereof) for pick-ups made after your expected pick-up time, without exception. If, however, your child is picked up later than our posted closing hours (5:15p, Mon-Th & 4p, Fri) without prior approval, then an additional post-closing fee of $1 per minute will be added to your account for any time extending beyond our posted closing hours (example: pick-up is made at 5:46p on a Thursday without prior approval, your bill will reflect a $45 late pick-up fee + $31 post-closing fee; same scenario on a Friday, your bill will reflect a $120 late pick-up fee + $106 post-closing fee).

The daycare clock-in system will be used to determine billing hours. All early drop-off and late pick-up fees are due on your next invoice.

open door policy

The front door is generally unlocked. You are welcome to come anytime without prior notice. Once all children expected for the day are present the door may be locked to ensure that those children stay inside. The front entrance gate is to remain locked at all times. Staff regularly check all gates and doors to ensure they are secure throughout the day. If you cannot enter through the front door, please use the back entrance.

personal belongings | children

Brandner Daycare strives to create a safe, organized, and hygienic environment for all children. This policy outlines guidelines for personal belongings brought from home to ensure the safety of all children and the smooth operation of the daycare program.

Bringing personal items from home

This policy outlines guidelines for personal belongings brought to Brandner Daycare by children and families. All personal belongings are to be stored in your child’s assigned locker at the front entrance.

Allowed items

Comfort items

  • A special blanket or stuffed animal for naptime or times of distress.

Extra clothing

  • At least one complete change of clothes (including underwear and socks), stored in a labeled bag.

Specialized items

  • Necessary medications, feeding utensils, etc. - to be discussed with staff and clearly labeled.

Weather-appropriate attire

  • This includes enclosed footwear, sun-safe clothing, hats, and warm clothing (coats, snow pants, hats, mittens) when necessary.

  • Suitable school bag

Prohibited items

Toys from home

  • To minimize sharing difficulties and potential damage, a wide variety of toys and materials are provided. Toys and other items from home will not be allowed.

Valuable or fragile items

  • Responsibility cannot be taken for lost or damaged irreplaceable items. If brought, they should be shown to staff and returned to parents for safekeeping.

Violent toys or accessories

  • Items like guns, knives, or swords are not permitted as they may encourage violent play and pose a safety risk.

Candy, gum, or money

  • Small items, including candy and money, pose a choking hazard that is too great a risk to allow within the daycare. Gum is not always used responsibly by children, and we would rather not have to deal with the possibility of a sticky mess.

Pets

  • We love pets! We are happy to have visitors from your fur babies when arranged ahead of time. If you would like to bring a pet for a quick visit, please just reach out to staff ahead of time. Pets, however, cannot be brought into the daycare without prior notice, and must leave with the parent/guardian once the visit has ended.

Outside food and drinks

  • Unless arranged ahead of time (example: birthday treats), please do not send your child to daycare with outside food and/or drinks. Brandner Daycare participates in the SENDCAA food program which follows specific food and beverage guidelines. To minimize the disruptions and difficulties that often accompany the arrival of food and drinks not provided by the Daycare, please offer these items to your child at home or before arrival.

Labeling belongings

  • All personal items should be clearly labeled with the child's full name.

  • Contact information may also be included for easier retrieval if lost.

  • Use permanent markers, iron-on labels, or stick-on labels that withstand regular cleaning and use.

Lost or damaged items

  • Reporting Lost Items: Parents should promptly report missing items to staff, providing a detailed description.

  • Daycare Responsibility: Every effort will be made to locate lost items, but responsibility cannot be taken for loss or damage to personal belongings.

Cleaning and hygiene

  • Personal belongings should be cleaned regularly by parents.

  • Staff may wipe down non-porous items and spray soft items with disinfectant, following appropriate protocols.

  • Soiled clothing will be rinsed of debris and sent home at the end of the day.

Parental Responsibilities

  • Provide updated information (emergency contacts, medical records).

  • Follow all daycare policies and procedures.

  • Label all belongings with the child's name.

personal belongings | staff

To ensure a safe, nurturing, and professional environment for the children entrusted to our care, and to minimize distractions, the following policy outlines the expectations regarding staff personal property within the daycare premises.

Storage

  • All personal belongings, including coats, purses, backpacks, and other items not immediately necessary for work duties, must be stored securely out of reach of children. Dedicated storage areas will be provided for this purpose.

Safety & Security

  • While the daycare will take reasonable precautions, it cannot be responsible for the loss, damage, or theft of personal items brought onto the premises. Staff are encouraged to avoid bringing valuable or irreplaceable items to work.

Accessibility

  • Personal items should be stored in a manner that does not interfere with the performance of job duties or create potential hazards for children

preschool kids

Some children will be coming and going on the Eddy County bus. The front door will be monitored by at least one staff person to assure the children are able to get inside when the bus drops them off from school, and to ensure they are able to safely get on the bus when it comes. Children are instructed and expected to promptly enter and depart the premises during bussing.

emergency evacuation

We have an emergency evacuation plan in place. There is an emergency evacuation map located in the main entrance. We will run practice drills monthly. We will discuss different scenarios with the children and give them concise instructions on what to do in the event of a tornado, fire, gas leak, etc.

Behavior

behavior management & discipline

We believe that children should be encouraged to grow and develop to their full potential in a suitably planned environment where they know what is expected of them, and where clear limits are set, appropriate to their age and stage of development, and any special needs they may have.

the p's & q's

  • Children’s efforts, achievements and feelings will always be acknowledged so as to promote the growth of self-esteem and self-discipline.

  • The staff at Brandner Daycare will strive to manage behavior consistently in order that children have the security of knowing what to expect and can build good patterns of self-discipline and independence, and develop a strong sense of individuality.

  • It is expected that staff at the Daycare are good role models, following codes of behavior that include showing respect toward each other and toward the children. We demonstrate how to respond in difficult situations with love, understanding, and authoritative, but gentle, redirection.

  • Rules are necessary, especially in a group setting with so many varied ages and children at different levels of development. Rules that apply to children in the Daycare will be discussed in age-appropriate ways, and Daycare staff will work with the children to recognize and respect these rules as often as necessary.

    • Daycare rules will be made known to all adults, staff, and parents upon request.

    • Rules will be kept to a minimum, and enforced insomuch as to promote the health and safety of all children within our care. It is recognized that the key to behavior management are quality observation skills by the adults involved in a child’s life. Ongoing discussion, education and practice will be used by staff in the skills of behavior management.

positive strategies for behavior management

  • One-on-one support by staff will be offered to any child that has mismanaged their behavior to help them understand what went wrong and offer possible solutions.

  • Comfort and support will be offered where another child has been hurt in an incident.

  • Explanations for challenging unwanted behaviors and attitudes will be made clear immediately to the child/children.

  •  It will always be made clear to the child in question that it is the behavior, and not the child, that is unacceptable.

  • Staff will use simple language, speaking calmly and quietly to the children when dealing with these situations.

  • Staff will demonstrate respect and empathy by listening and being interested.

  • By offering alternatives, positive behavior is encouraged and helps to teach children about the value of compromise.

  • Recurring problems will be dealt with in an inclusive manner following observations and involving the child’s parents, and other appropriate adults, where necessary.

  • Books and activities will be available to help the children explore and name their feelings, where appropriate, in conjunction with an adult.

Meals

SENDCAA & CACFP

what is a food program?

Brandner Daycare participates in the Child & Adult Care Food Program, or CACFP, funded by SENDCAA. This program benefits child care providers, such as ourselves, by supplementing food expenses and offering valualble information and education on nutrition, meal planning, as well as age-appropriate foods to serve.

Children benefit from the program as it allows us to help them develop healthy eating habits, while parents benefit by gaining peace of mind knowing that their children are being served appropriate meals for their continued development. Participation in the Food Program also allows us to keep our enrollment rates lower as our food costs are subsidized. Our program will provide breakfast, lunch, and a PM snack to every child, every day.

infants

Infants are fed on demand unless there is a written order from the child’s health care provider.

food allergies

A written care plan will be in place for any food or beverage allergies. All employees and volunteer workers will be made aware of the allergy.

menus

As part of our participation in the SENDCAA food program, it is part of our policy to keep parents and caregivers up to date on the meals we provide within the Daycare. All children are encouraged to try the foods offered, but any refusals to do so will be respected. Daily and/or weekly menus are posted to our website. We encourage you to review these menus and provide feedback to us regarding any new meal ideas, questions, or concerns.

Rest Time

naps & safe sleep

naps & rest time

There is a two-hour time frame designated for rest and nap time. Please see our daily schedule to review the time slot dedicated to this activity. Individual cots or Pack-and-Plays, a pillow, and a blanket are provided to each child to take their rest time with. Children who do not nap are required to take at least one hour of down time.

safe sleep

Staff are required to undergo SIDS training each year. This serves us well to ensure best practices regarding safe sleep are observed at all times, and that we are up-to-date on the most recent information concerning this topic. All children under the age of 12 months must have the Safe Infant Sleep While in Childcare policy completed prior to attending daycare.

Toileting

diapers & potty training

diapers

Diapers are checked regularly and changed as needed, or a minimum of 3x each day. Parents or caregivers are responsible for providing diapers for your child. Brandner Daycare provides Parent’s Choice Sensitive wipes, however if you prefer a different type of wipe is used for your child you will be required to provide that to the Daycare for use with your child.

diaper creams

We utilize an assortment of diaper creams to address diaper rashes and any other skin concerns related to diapering. All diaper changes are documented on your child's group page in the Parent Portal on our website until they reach age 18 months.

potty training
Potty training will be worked on when the child’s parents and Daycare staff both agree the child is ready. Both parties will be expected to follow a consistent routine.  Progress will be documented on the child’s group page in the Parent Portal if requested.

Illness Policies

sick policy, immunizations, & viral infections

In home daycare, we don’t have a way to split up the kids and keep the sick ones away from the well ones. We aren’t allowed to close sick kids in a room and not be with them, nor are we allowed to close well kids in a room and not be with them. THE WORST thing a parent can do is give their kids medication to reduce fever and drop them off at daycare. Sadly, we see this happen too often. It goes without saying that the problem with this is while the fever is down from medication, the kids are infecting everyone they come into contact with (including Wendi and Amanda) and we, as providers, don’t even know it. It’s a vicious cycle. That said, please make note of the following sick policies:

viral infections & COVID-19

We will follow CDC and the State of North Dakota recommendations for operating practices regarding COVID-19 and other highly contagious or infectious diseases. These practices are to ensure that all children who attend daycare do not become unnecessarily exposed to the contagion.

Sick children will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please do not bring your child if they are vomiting, have chronic diarrhea, or have been diagnosed with a contagious illness. Please do not bring your child if they are running a fever. If your child needs to go home due to illness, staff will call you, then your emergency contacts in the order they are listed. If your child needs to take medication, we require the medication permission form signed by the parent. Staff will not administer over-the-counter medications unless permission is given by the parent.

immunizations

Immunizations are required and must be kept current according to the standard immunization schedule recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics. If you choose not to immunize your child, or choose to delay immunization, your child will not be permitted to enroll with Brandner Daycare until their immunizations are up to date. When receiving new vaccinations please provide an updated copy for our records. The County Health Department will provide you with a copy upon request. Please provide a signed copy, or email it to us at mydaycareladies@gmail.com.

For additional information and resources regarding vaccines, vaccine schedules, and immunization requirements, please visit the ND Vaccines for Children (VFC) program:

https://www.hhs.nd.gov/health/diseases-conditions-and-
immunization/immunizations/immunization-resources-public

fever

Typically, a temperature of 100 degrees may indicate that the body is fighting off an infection. Without medication, the fever must stay down on its own for 24 hours to be readmitted at Brandner Daycare.

vomiting

If the child has vomited within 24 hours, they must be kept out of daycare. If your child vomits while at daycare, they will be sent home immediately.

diarrhea

This is a tough one. If the child has had diarrhea in the past 24 hours, they should be kept home. Many times, parents say it’s teething, but 9 times out of 10, it ends up being something else and other kids end up with it. Everyone can’t teeth at once, but 5 or 7 kids with diarrhea is quite the nightmare for a provider. Please keep your child at home if they have had diarrhea. If they begin having symptoms while at daycare at any time, they will be sent home immediately.

runny noses & sneezing

Runny noses are commonplace at daycare. There are allergies and all kinds of reasons a child will have a runny nose. Generally, we don’t exclude from care for only a running nose. But, with recommendations we are following from the health department, we need to exclude care if the mucus is dark or green/yellow.

cough

If a child is coughing, typically we don’t exclude them from care if it’s the only symptom. Like a runny nose, this can be allergy related. Following recommendations from the health department due to COVID-19, however, we will exclude a child from care for excessive coughing, or if the child is unable to follow safe hygiene practices to prevent the spread of germs. This is especially important due to COVID-19 since coughing is the top indicator that someone may have the illness.

Coughs spread illness quickly because it’s in the air. If your child is exhibiting excessive coughing, they will be sent home.

staff illness

If Wendi is sick or unable to work, daycare is closed. If Amanda is sick or unable to work, we will be required to cut back the number of kids who can attend daycare, or we may close if necessary. If any staff member is working alone, our Group License allows a maximum of seven children, with no more than 3 children under age 18 months, in attendance. If daycare is completely closed because of COVID-19, or any other virus which requires us to close for safety, you will be responsible for 50% of your contracted hours as the daycare is no longer receiving grant money under the Cares Act to offset this cost.

Emergency Response & Evacuation

in case of emergency

We will call 911 for assistance and every attempt to contact parents/guardians will be made if such a situation arises. Brandner Daycare is not liable for costs or fees associated with emergency transportation or services.

In the event that emergency evacuation is necessary, we have a detailed evacuation plan in place. An emergency evacuation map is located in the main entrance, and we run practice drills monthly. We will discuss different scenarios with the children and give them concise instructions on what to do in the event of a tornado, fire, gas leak…. etc.

Contracts

enrollment & provider PTO

Please see your current contract for scheduled holiday and vacation dates.

enrollment contracts

A signed enrollment contract is a requirement for attendance at Brandner Daycare. This applies to FT, PT, and Drop-In care. The contract will reflect the child’s family contact information and schedule, fees, payment expectations, provider PTO and Holidays, and address any additional policies or procedures of merit.

drop-in care

Drop-in children are required to have a signed enrollment contract on file to be provided care at Brandner Daycare. Drop-in care will not be obligated to a predetermined schedule, however spots are limited and availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and only when space allows. All Drop-In spots will pay the regular rate. All parents of drop-in children will provide the appropriate documents required by the state licensing agency.

paid holidays

Brandner Daycare will be closed on all major holidays according to the schedule listed within your current contract. Payment for holidays is mandatory when indicated on the posted holiday schedule. Please see your current contract for holiday/vacation dates scheduled.

provider paid time off

Brandner Daycare staff will reserve up to 5 days of personal Paid Time Off (PTO) and 5 Vacation days each year, as needed, for illness and personal time. The number of PTO days reserved is subject to change with each contract year renewal. Please review this section in your contract for this year. We make every effort to alert families to these days as early as possible, however please keep in mind that sudden illness and/or emergencies do occur and are sometimes unavoidable.

Outside Play

water & weather

when the wiggles strike...

We make every effort to have the children go outside to play in the mornings and/or afternoons, depending on the weather. We take our cues from the children. They become adaptable to a variety of weather conditions and are healthier for it! If individual children become uncomfortable, they may be taken inside. The rest of the children will be allowed their full outside play period.

Children will have drinking water available to them. Babies can have bottles outside if needed. Outside time is an opportunity for necessary active play.  Children may participate in water, sand, and snow play. Babies are kept out of direct sunlight. They will be given opportunities to explore their environment and interact with the older children.  Please send the appropriate clothing for outside play.

aquatic policy & water play

We use water play to help keep the children comfortable on hot days.

  • Daycares no longer allow wading pools.

  • We may use water tables, sprinklers, and/or spray bottles if the temperature is over 80 degrees. Children are not allowed to climb inside of the water tables and will be monitored to ensure all are playing safely.

temperature & weather

If it is too hot or too cold, we will remain inside to play. Staff will reapply sunblock every 2 hours that a child remains outside. During cold weather children are expected to participate in outdoor play but will not be required to stay out for an extended period. We follow the same temperature guidelines as the local school.

Photography

website & social media

[shutter sounds] click, click, click...

All photographs taken of children will only be shared within the Daycare family. With permission, we may share photos of children on our website, www.mydaycareladies.com, where only daycare families are able to log in and view the information posted. Occasionally, Brandner Daycare may request to use an image of your child on our website and/or social media accounts for purposes of marketing, and will only do so with specific, written permission.

snap chat

Brandner Daycare has created a private daycare Snap Chat group for the parents of children in our care. This is an optional, fun activity we have utilized to engage Daycare families with the daily activities their children are involved in here. If you would like to opt out of including your child in anything with Snap Chat, simply let us know. If you would like to be added to the Daycare Group, let us know that as well!

facebook

Brandner Daycare runs a page on Facebook, so as to provide another outlet for families to contact us regarding daycare services, and to keep our current families up to date on the activities their children are involved in with us. We will occasionally post pictures of the kid's artwork, fun games and play, and use the page for any important announcements. We do our very best to NOT include children's faces in pictures posted on this platform. This is for security. We will only ever post an image of a child to our Facebook page with express permission from the parent/guardian ahead of time. Please contact us with any concerns or questions regarding this policy.

disclaimer

We will not photograph children unless permitted by the parent/guardian. Your signature on the Policies page in your enrollment paperwork gives Brandner Daycare permission to photograph your children in accordance with this policy. If you do not wish to have your child included in photographs at daycare, please provide a short, signed statement to omit your child from this activity. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Reserved Care

infants & children over 2

reserving daycare spots

Due to the increasing demand for childcare, we cannot guarantee or hold a spot for an incoming infant or child unless the required enrollment fees have been received and a signed contract is on file.

Infants & Children Over 2

  • A deposit of $250 and all enrollment fees are required to hold a spot for your incoming infant or child.

  • A holding fee equal to your minimum weekly rate will begin billing only once a spot becomes available for use (Contract Start Date), regardless of whether you use that spot or not.

    • Example: the Daycare has an open spot available beginning April 1; however, you do not plan to begin in-person care until June 1 due to maternity leave. The Daycare will bill a holding fee beginning April 1, and continue until you are ready to start bringing your child to our care. April 1 would be your Contract Start Date.

    • Brandner Daycare reserves the right to fill any unused spot for Drop-In care on an as-needed basis. Your held spot will always be available to you for use, however we request 24-hour notice of attendance if you have not already begun daily in-person care.

    • Holding fees will not begin billing for incoming infants until after they are born.

    • Your paid deposit will be applied to your first billing cycle. See our Terms of Payment section for additional details.

waiting list

Anyone is welcome to add their family to our waiting list. Once space becomes available to accommodate the age of your child we will contact you to establish your continued interest and intent to enroll. Spaces are offered on a first come-first serve basis according to the order names are added to our wait list.
